Jigging in the Heat

Ran S & E of the VZ this morning looking for fish to jig. It felt like we were back in the heat wave of Juiy/August before Sun rose. Found some birds with fishing busting underneath at Dawn. Threw small jigs & poppers for 2-4lb blues and a few baby Bonito. Action slowed as the Sun rose higher so we moved SW into the Bay. Found more bird action and repeated the bluefish action until about 10:30 -1100AM. Ended up with 15-20 blues & 4-5 bones. All released. Ran back home dreading the boat clean up in the heat but it wasn't too bad.

All in all, fun day out.
