Captree Boat Poaching Bass...

Is DEC not identifying the boat because it believes doing so will just attract all the miscreants searching for boats that will support their poaching ?

Im sure the name of the boat is out there some where if you wanna look for it

I have "unfollowed" almost all the 70 r 80 "friends" I have on FB, and just go into their page occasionally as I have never met the majority of their relatives and other friends anyway. But I do frequent (daily) my ship model hobby pages, hunting pages, kayak sites, movie news and the frequent quizzes on FB. I really don't follow the numerous fishing as its mostly of the "look at me!" variety.

Reason I’m not on Facebook never had it, never will. Stupid stuff like this just fuels the fire for stricter regulations.
I need to find a way to keep myself off of it and keep a presence. We've been pulling a decent amount of traffic from there so it's a necessary evil. As are Tic Tok and Instagram.

IIRC George, NY DEC has some public health issues with giving confiscated fish, and possibly game, out for human consumption. I may be mixing things up with another state...
It's not a big deal. But I can show you numerous reports of tuna, shark as well as other species like deer and turkey, that were supplied to food banks.

It's amazing how u people act like they killed someone!!he broke the rules and that's all, we all break the rules In one form or another.. if they wasn't so strict then maybe no one would feel the need to keep small fish..u pay $100.00 to keep 1 slot fish u may or may not catch but u let the boats from other countries catch all they want..I don't fish for stripers nor do I say what he did was right but don't crucify the man for it either..give him his fine and move on and remember we all have broken the law one time or another and if u say u haven't-your lieing to yourself!!!

He played and now he's paying. I personally never hid fillets in my boat EVER! But I do agree that there are much worse things happening to striped bass. from gill net mortality and dragger bycatch. Just to name a few. But at the same time, something like this is a black eye to the entire industry.

The regs are the regs, like them or not.
