Red with white clam?? Certainly not a Merlot. A lighter one like a Cotes du Rhone maybe. I went to the Teenage Children Warning "Touch One Of These And Die" Rack and cracked open bottle of Chassagne Montrachet...

I usually go with a nice Orvieto or Pinot Grigio with the white clam, whichever I used in the prep, but I drained the Orvieto in the sauce. None left in the fridge, but I did have that Frenchie there so I grabbed it...
