the whole first floor of my house is a wreck.........

I'm in the process of trying to set it up for my really old age so i can stay here. Yes. I know. I'm already old having hit 72 last Friday.

With my back issues & stuff the stairs are eventually going to give me a problem.

So I've got the Brit remodeling my downstairs bathroom to accomodate a shower. This entailed ripping out a wall & expanding the room by 3 feet. Rerunning electric, cutting through the wall to the outside & installing ventilation. Removing a door entryway from the outside & recreating the outside house siding., The Brit has equipment needed to replicate aluminum to match the existing siding. Yes. Aluminum. House is that old. That'll have to be painted eventually to get it to blend in.

Because I had the wall extended to fit the shower - I've now got to redo the entire living room (which honestly need it anyway). So everything in my living room has been taken out & placed somewhere else in the house. There is now spackling taking place in there ahead of the painting that will be needed. Removing a ceiling fan as well.

My dinning room is being converted to a bedroom for me. This entailed closing off one entry way (I've got an original 1890's fireplace in there with an opening to my foyer on either side) & building a closet on one side & closing off the other entryway on the other side of the fireplace to become a wall with a door.

I plan on converting the two upstairs bedrooms (each with their own bathrooms) into an AirBNB rental. That starts being demo'd after downstairs is done. Can only live in so much chaos at one time.

So yeah. My house is a wreck.

Haven't even started the outside where I've got a trench running from the street to the house where I replaced the waterline. That fill is due to deliver a week from Friday.

Did I mention the new water heater?

Hopefully I'll survive..........................

There's a new hospital a little over a mile away. Nurses are desparate for lodging in the area........

I don't really need to do it for the money - but if I relocate downstairs (which I am) I'll have two bedrooms
& bathrooms upstairs sitting empty. We've designed my foyer so that that would be a private entrance for any upstairs rentals. They wouldn't be coming through my living area.
 
Shaking my head, but had a very happy problem. When we lost power yesterday the magnitude and number of people out, I figured we'd be lucky to have power by Sunday. Just before 17:00 today I was shocked to hear the unmistakable THUNK of the transfer switch going over to electric co. power.

WTF, they hadn't even posted a tentative ETA for restoration of power? Oh well, like I said, happy problem...

Thanks. Really good show she is a 21 y/o. Kinda of like a a taylor swift but harder music more rock like on some songs. kids seems to love her they were all gushing and going nuts. The band was good 2 electric guitarists, base, piano, violin, drums, keyboards. at one point they had some heavy riffs I thought they were (or could have) going to break into metallica or something. I had a good time there were a few parents my age nearby who escorted their kids and we were all kind of smiling and laughing to each other.

All the BS and nonsense and crap we deal with all day long all disappears when you are doing something with your kids and giving them a memory they will never forget

On a side note, my sons prior band had a girl that that sang and played keyboards and they had an Olivia Rodrigo song in the set list. That was the first I ever heard of her 😎
