Another Record Japanese New Year Tuna

Figure I'd post this to "head 'em off at the pass." Please before anyone starts with indignant posts here, understand that buying the first bluefin tuna of the New Year is a major cultural coup for a Japanese concern and this very inflated price of $5057 per lb is in no way representative of the true market value of these fish; it is vastly inflated for the purpose of being able to claim this prize for their company's prestige.

Bluefin tuna sells for record $3.1 million in Japan, but scarcity of species clouds celebration

I saw the headline and wondered who the hell could afford, or why would someone spend that much for fish.

Price ? Fake news? 3 million, 2 million, 4 million, same pic-same fish
