MOSCOW (AP) — The Kremlin insisted Friday that a settlement in Ukraine couldn’t be facilitated by a drop in global oil prices as U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested.

Speaking by video from the White House to the annual World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump said on Thursday that the OPEC+ alliance of oil exporting countries shares responsibility for the nearly three-year conflict in Ukraine because it has kept oil prices too high.

“If the price came down, the Russia-Ukraine war would end immediately,” Trump said. Energy sales form a large part of Russia's earnings.

“The conflict doesn't depend on oil prices,” Peskov said in a conference call with reporters.

Frankly, just get rid of it. The government is inevitably wasteful and incompetent. It's not fixable no matter which side is running it.

Lower people's taxes so they can accumulate the resources to help themselves and their neighbors.

Okay, I read it. It seems that derangement runs large.

Everything in the article says that, had the election not been stolen, this wouldn't have happened. Had NATO not been sabre-rattling and threatening Russia, it wouldn't have happened. Nothing we don't already know. And again, where is the money coming from?

I'll point out that everything that provoked hand-wringing and wailing and moaning and gnashing of teeth from the left, like defunding NATO all played into Russia not invading anything while Trump was president. Unlike his predecessors and successor.

North Korea stopped developing nukes and lobbing missiles, right up until the moment Biden took office.

Yet, Trump has no clue. Sure.

It's amazing how people can ignore what is right in front of them.
