  • Mexico also refused to authorize a U.S. military deportation aircraft
  • Trump's immigration crackdown hiking tensions in Latin America
  • Brazil condemns U.S. handcuffing of migrants on deportation flight
WASHINGTON/BOGOTA Jan 26 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday he would impose retaliatory measures on Colombia including tariffs, sanctions and travel bans after the South American country turned away two U.S. military aircraft with migrants being deported as part of Trump's immigration crackdown.
Trump said the action by Colombian President Gustavo Petro jeopardized U.S. national security and he has directed his administration to take retaliatory measures.

Round trip must cost a lot
Who needs to land?? Parachutes are being used. Costs much less.

Sounds like business is back to usual.

Trump strikes back with retaliatory measures against Colombia for rejecting deportation flights

They talk like tough guys……and then. All too familiar. See how the prior fake post says a different story. Typical.

Later on Sunday, the Colombian leader appeared to back down and offered his own presidential plane to help repatriate migrants back to his country. Petro said in a statement that the aircraft will be used "to facilitate the dignified return of the compatriots who were going to arrive in the country today in the morning, coming from deportation flights."

Update: that may have been the fastest trade war capitulation in history:
COLUMBIA had agreed to take them then tried to renege...didn't work...sucks for them

Nobody in their right mind does not want criminals deported and immigration/crossings/migrants or whatever you want to call it CONTROLLED. But we also need immigrants properly documented to keep our economy going and inflation under control. There was a GOP bill a few months ago for all this....but that became secondary to someones agenda. So if we can get rid of criminals and control immigrants...great!! Same chit on the table a few months ago

More idle talk. Do it. And we just shut down the aid. Really simple. Let that guy save face in front of his people, and lower the hammer. Simple now.
