Aqualina II Charters-Moriches

Rocco23

Angler
Hey guys,

Some of you know I run some charters in moriches, but I’ll be posting up future trips in 2025 here as well.

I’m located at Moriches Bay Marina.

I have a 28 foot Grady White Sailfish, twin 225 Yamahas, enclosed head.

All rigs, jigs, fluorocarbon leader, teasers, gulp and fresh locally caught bait all included.
Custom spinning rods by Lookout Custom Rods are also provided.

I specialize in skinny water fluking.
As some of you know moriches bay is “skinny” in most areas of the bay.

We typically fish anywhere from 3-10 feet of water using ultra light setups and tiny tiny jigs. Depending on the tide you can watch the fish attack the jigs and even “pitch” it to a bigger one lying in wait.

If there is an ocean bite we go outside as well and fish the hard bottom.
*New Addition for 2025*
Minn Kota Instinct Trolling Motor
Humminbird Apex 13 Mega SI Fishfinder

*Discount for First Responders*

I’m currently booking a few trips for next year already.

I have heard great things about your charter service, Rocco.
Congratulations on the upgrades to your vessel. The poor fish won't stand a chance!!:D

Best of luck next season!
Capt. Mike

Hey Rocco,

Humminbird just came out with Mega Live 2 Forward Facing Sonar that will clamp right onto that troller and interfaced with your Apex. If you have enough battery power and its networked.

I have a similar setup but on a much smaller scale on my bassboat and I can tell you that the technology is simply incredible. In a bay like that you will see the fish swimming, how they're reacting to various baits and in many cases you see their habits. you will see the bottom like never before.

Just like that new troller, it's just a matter of time :)

Waiting for the mega live 2.0 to drop in January 👍

Hey all,

I’ll have a table at the Ward Melville Fishing Club Show on March 1.

Come stop by and say hello,

I’ll have some t shirts/hoodies for sale.

And if you book a trip I’ll have a show special discount.

Either way it’s a great event with a lot of excellent vendors and a nice way to spend a few hours in the winter.

New Minn kota 100 riptide instinct being installed on the Grady. Can’t wait to use for fluke in the bay. I’ll be able to cover more hard to fish spots .
Got the new Xplore 12 inch humminbird too

Spring can’t come soon enough !

Well done, Rocco. Looks like TJ has a boat he likes as much as his own!
Still a little cool in the Peconics but things are starting to break open now. I will probably give local Fluke my first shot next week.
Have a great season.

Have a great season.
Water went from 55-65 in a few days so they also were probably not liking that change that quick.

Have a good season as well !

Had some trips that were in plain English, Garbage.

Good fisherman aboard but poor catching .

The temp fluctuations and the horrible wind has not made it easy.
A few straggler keepers on some trips with a handful of shorts, and some trips just a few shorts. Yuck.

Fished today before gasing up for an hour. Got a dozen shorts in spots I haven’t had any life yet. So that’s promising. Oh wait more wind and rain this week lol

Went out down to the boat earlier in the week and had some promising signs of bait and some fluke in spots that have been empty thus far. Few keepers and around a dozen or so shorts for a quick scout trip.

Warmer temps this coming week will certainly be beneficial!
