Finally back on the water.
Went out for a quick after work trip on monday with my son and his girlfriend. Planned on heading to the Nissy, but the swarm of diving birds by Crab Meadow diverted my attention. Went sent our fluke rigs down from 12-20 ft at high slack, with the decent SW wind pushing us NE, worked perfect. Fluke on every drop, over and over again. Spitting up sand eels making a mess. We couldn't find any keepers, but a few double headers had us grabbing the net thinking we had one. Saw plenty of rolling bass chasing the eels on top. We did that for well over an hour and left them biting.
So we went west and dropped anchor at 50 ft as the sun got low. Chunks soaked until the sun set, and the dinner bell was rung. We had consistent action for 45 minutes, bringing 4 bass to the boat, between 33-38 inches, as well as a few dogs. Son and GF did all the reeling, as I was doing capt/mate duty netting fish, releasing, re baiting and keeping things in order. We called it at 9:15, happy to be back in the game.

Nice job! What time did you get out there? We left the stacks at about 1:45. I've never seen so many double header fluke then I did yesterday.
