Broke Two Rules Today

#1 one was fishing on a Saturday when my Son wasn't coming out & #2 was black fishing on opening day. Got to the town ramp & already 8 trailers, but I had both sides to myself. I guess everyone was running from the weather on a long holiday weekend, I think every rock in Eastern Lond Island Sound had a boat over it, went exploring & found new ground. Instant life, but almost like sea bass fishing, sorting through all the shorts, & only one 17" keeper made it to the ice. Only reason I went was with the upcoming weather & other obligations my next chance isn't till next Friday. All & all a good day on the water.

Typical mob scene on opening day for Tog. Actually I was very fortunate to hit just the right rock. Most of the boats around me seemed to be in the same situation as yourself with lots of smalls and very few keepers.
Caught all my nice fish today on the first drop. Then it was 99% shorts elsewhere. It will improve.
