Got Pics?dang varmints are always trying to get in my garbage cans............................
I have to have a bungee cord over the lid to keep them out - lately they've been dragging the can onto my back patio(10 feet away) trying to get in.
Max used to keep them out of the backyard - but alas......................
of what?Got Pics?
Looks are very deceiving. They were about the same size my son in law bagged,6-7 lbslooks to be, 15 lbrs…
Not sure. I may have been wrong in my Bobcat decision as head/neck dining isn’t considered normal for them. It is for Great Horned Owls and weasels, two local residents. Since it was a midday event, I’d lean towards a weasel. Admiral reported bird face plant marks on the window close to the crime scene, which may have made this a scavenger event. Who knows what actually happened?Wow, do u think he left it on purpose to get another kill amd bring young back for a feast of alll the kill? Bringing the reward back to den could attract unwanted predator .
Be careful,

Whatever it was, the carcass will disappear over night for sure.

I've yet to see Bobbie, but I confidently say that he was over at my place between 11:00 - 13:00 dining on the head and neck of a ruffed grouse!!

Dang, just looked at an enlarged photo of the carcass and it looks like the head is there, underneath the body. Will have to go out to inspect later!!
