Everytime I click on the thread titled Announcing the Passing of Captain Pete Peterson in the Anglers Lounge my anti virus waring pops up warning of a Trojan. It is only on that thread no others.

beats me - maybe you have crappy virus protection?
:p

Methinks that it’s you with the crappy Antivirus Protection. No Coney Island Jellyfish detected here..,

Might want to replace your CPU with a real chip instead of a Dorito...

I'm running with Norton 360 & Malewarebites Premium. Only get a Trojan warning on that one thread - no others.

Someone must have linked and posted a pic from a site that your software thinks is a virus.
I've had that happen before on NE anigifs.

thank you - primarily posted this early this morning thinking there maybe something malicious in that thread that someone may want to look into - did not expect to get sarcasm as a result.

I've got those on my computers too and NO Coney Island Jellyfish warnings... You must have an errant setting somewhere there.

Also checked it on my iPhone, tablets and laptops, all with different antivirus programs, and no problems.

Hmmm, where could the problem be?? No one else has reported any problem...

Maybe some malicious fiend down Onacock has hacked into the Eastern Shore Network wrecking havoc???

If more reported an issue it would be looked into no sarcasm intended but usually when you post an issue and no one else does its usually on your end ya know the whole technology thing

Since I don't follow the party boat stuff I admit not having tried the post in question, until just now. While I don't have proprietary anti-virus programs installed, my Win 10 did not warn me of any one-eyed worm problems...

it's my Malewarebytes program that is blocking it

2 antivirus programs will always conflict with each other, I went to the thread and my malwarebytes found no problems, seriously, this is what I do for a living, nortons, symantec endpoint are the worse antivirus detection programs out there.
I have seen way too many people get fooled by Symantec with their false positive alerts, the program lets to many viruses go undetected, and they always seem to have a patch when something does get by them, malwarebytes and norton do not play well together, what os are you running, win 7 or 10, mac os? make sure malwarebytes is up to date, along with updates for your particular OS, clear any quarantine malware if you have any.

Operating System Windows 10
Malewarebytes updated & newest version
Always clear/delete anything Malewarebytes Quarantiens immediately

Norton has aleays been pretty good for me - it also comes with Lifelock as part of the package. That has grabbed many things off the dark web including when Noreast was breahed last year or so. I knew NE had been attacked before pretty much anyone else did.
