I was surprised to see that my Hurricane Skimmer 128 is no longer offered. At a thermoformed 50 lbs and easily modified with a scotty, two flush mount rodholders, anchor trolley and safety flag holder, along with three hatches,
it has suited me fine for 6 seasons. Closing in on 75 and only a pre-shrunk 5'8" and 160 lbs so I simply have to keep the weight down and yet be able to put rodholders behind the seat and a scotty up front. Don't need pedals or a rudder. What is out there ?

Anything wrong with it?

No. I did repair a crack near the seat 3 years ago with Lydia's (a HurricaneAquasports Manager) advice, but nothing thermoformed lasts forever. I spent some time researching other companies that allegedly make lightweight yaks for fishing. No luck so far. had replaced a Hurricane Phoenix 140 with this Skimmer 128 in 2019 and was hoping to do the same in a couple or three years.
