SOS depending on altitude is @ 600 mph...certainly reasonable

The mission seams so primitive , that’s all we can do after over 50 years landing on the moon.
We should already have a Disney park up there.

I'm the front edge of Gen X. I was too young to actually remember the first missions, but I remember the later ones, Skylab and Apollo-Soyuz.

We definitely followed them since dad was involved in the LM program. As a result I've also studied enough of the space program to feel like I remember it.

Shuttle astronaut Mike Mullane did a presentation that I attended and I won a copy of his book with my extensive nerd knowledge of space trivia. I've probably related his observations on extra terrestrial life here before.
