Hey Mojo. You know what they call a 14" fluke in Chinatown?
Portion size!
Lol
They probably thought it was False Albacore as Albacore is good eating. Down here in FL they refer to False Albacore as Bonito and actually think it’s good eating. But then again, down here they don’t know what pizza is, bagels are, etc., etc.bonito
bonita
albacore
false albacore
I got to take home a bonito no one wanted on a party boat last fall because even the mates thought it was an albie.
If you have the weather, go make a report, not wait for it!Sorry for the late report. I was debating if I should post this or not. Tuesday went to magnolia pier and caught absolutely nothing. It was a beautiful day on the water and if I had to guess there were over 40 people over the course of the day. I was using sabitiki and not a bite. Other anglers were using spearing whole worms bunker chunks sabitiki. And they also didn't get a bite. I saw a commorant grab a flounder or fluke and another commorant chased the bird for the meal. I am waiting till I hear something to venture out. Next report when I catch something
