Actually frightening. People lose their lives to stuff like this each year.

I find stupid human tricks, especially Darwin Award Nominees quite hysterical.

The advent of Boater Safety Courses with absolutely no actually on the water training or testing totally absurd. The people behind said initiatives sadly believe that such courses would eliminate the kind of events pictured in that meme, and POOF, now we're talking irony!!

Totally agreed, that's why I live in Maine where people who own boats know WTH since they grew up in boating families, and not just burning gas, but working as sternmen for the family burning diesel...

Boats are important livelihood investments here to most here, and if you recognize and respect that, you're partially accepted, especially if they see you out every day, and don't have the unmitigated stupidity to put out your allowed 6 personal lobster pots. I have a new neighbor who's supposedly some big shot from a major clothing manufacturer and there are 6 new pots sitting on his dock. I give them less than a week to last wen he puts them in the water...

I don't even have to put up with PWCs here!! Mazel Tov and WATCH OUT to all of you serious boaters putting up with ignoramus weekend warriors on LI!!
