Keeper fluke - finally!

Took advantage of a day off of work and the nice weather to take another ride out to the AB reef solo. Was looking to spend only a couple of hours there. Just a handful of boats in the area. Drift speed was just right. Went over a mark that has been giving up fish most of the summer, all short so far. 1st fish at 16” came up a minute after 1st drop. Looks like I’ll have some action again at least. Nothing more for a while, reset my drift a few times. Then felt a real good bite and pull - a short time later, this 23” hit the deck. 1st keeper for me this year. It’s amazing what one will do for your spirits!
