Not for me.................................I put most of the fish I caught back for them to end up in a store on ice and somebody got paid for it.

Took me a while, lol.

I don’t keep a lot of fish. A meal, or maybe two, and that’s it for me. The rest go back.

I fish for the pleasure of putting people on the meat, the hunt, the mind games, the trophy, and the glory that goes with it.

All that and I like to eat. Lots of folks that enjoy fish in my circle. I also have folks that cannot afford fish as a food so I clean and provide to their family.

I love to eat good as well, and for fish I much prefer fresh. I will vacuum seal, and freeze an additional meal or two to be consumed in the very near future if the freezer is void of any.

Years ago when I lived in Massapequa I had some elderly neighbors that fresh fillets were not in their weekly food budget and would bring them cleaned fish. I don’t have anyone nearby now that either fits that bill, or likes fish.

Fresh fish is very expensive! Always nice to share the bounty with friends and neighbors.
