Kind of a Big Deal - In My Mind Anyway

Its that time again. Even with the diminished stocks of these terrific fish, there are still enough good ones around to make a day of fishing more than worthwhile - so let's show what we catch here. I'll start, with a some pix from the past few seasons:

Beauty! We haven't sailed yet, between minor engine issues, miserable weather, and other matters, but next week is looking VEERY promising!

No good white chinners to report. We were spoiled by the reports and tried to catch them all, but caught none :P. Very cool to see bluefin tuna chasing eels and a whale breached on a bunker pod about 50 feet from our bow. Surreal experience. Next time, BLACKFISH :)

with you Lep on west end blackfishing..not what it used to be..Remember many days on AB with easy limits & big fish..

also fishing the deep when very few boats did..North shore slams ...these days I go east...Lucky to have friends with boats on the east end...

Wow, that is an AWESOME plate Kal! Next to Italian (I do have Sicilian blood in me, after all!), I like exotic Asian dishes best!

Hey Pete

I usually take my catch a few doors down my dock to Frenasia on Crossbay and they will cook the whole fish whatever style asked. If you’d like to arrange and outing and sit down after we can def do so my friend ?

Thanks Kal, I might just take you up on that offer. I eat in Gino's on CBB a few times each season, with some of my homies. I like the food there VERY much!

Yes we have good HB history you turned me on to the Shrimp oregano from Gino’s which is my wife’s favorite dish there when we go but we haven’t been back there ever since they opened up the new Divino’s next to Crossbay B&T. They are very good if you haven’t tried yet. My recommendation there is the linguini w/ white clam and calamari and white zucchini square

My wife is from HB and keeps up with the local news there, despite us living in eastern Nassau county for 32 years. She mentions Divino's once in a while - as in "Why don't you and your friends try Divino's instead of always going to Gino's?"

I guess for the same reason that I've had the same boat for 24 years. Or been married to her for 34 years. I don't really like to change what works. Well, what works most of the time anyways. I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions. . .

I’d say boys outing at Gino’s but I’m reading betw the lines and it sounds like she may be hinting at Devino’s for date night ?

Hey Joe

I missed you this year I didn’t see you on the battlefield but I’m sure you got you hands plenty dirty. Please say hi to the Queen B, George and uncle Loui ✊
