He dosn't have to trim Anything, That's the Bos'n's job,. he's the Commodore. He's the one who steers the boat and blows his horn.

He should be blowing his horn at the Foredeck Crew to fix that. Regrettably I grew up sailing on the race circuit which means there is no rest if any sail has a wrinkle in it. You can't believe how I reflexively scream at the TV when there's poorly trimmed sailboat shown screaming, "HTF can anyone allow that crappy trim be shown on TV???!!!!", right up there with me screaming at Wicked Tuna, "Wait a second, I've seen this very fish on a clip last season!!"
