Building Maintenance is here replacing the Dishwasher... I said should I shut power off at breaker he said NO, I shut off anyway...

after test, I said aren’t you gonna connect da cable to box, he said NO it’s okay,,. I said leave me the nut & cover and I’ll do it, he says, oh ok I’ll take care of it... he running back to shop cauz he threw away nut already... Jerk, $10 tip instead of $25...

I can top that. From the Dom In Exile In The Midwest files, as Poseidon is my witness:

We had been in the Midwest for 2 months when we strolled into a deli on a Saturday. Desperate for a decent sandwich I ordered pastrami and the blonde, blue-eyed girl behind the counter said, "Would you like that on white bread with mayo?" I nearly exploded, but I did notice a sharp pain in my foot as The Admiral was grinding her heel into it, hoping that pain would avoid me screaming at the young lady. As always she was correct; I kept my mouth shut and just requested the sandwich to be on rye with mustard.

However, that's not the best part of the story. At work the next Monday I relayed this story to my colleagues only to be met with blank stares, along with the question, "What's wrong with that Dom?"

That absolutely horrified me. I was almost speechless, but quickly responded, "Do you mean that the funniest line in Annie Hall went right over all of you Midwestern Heads???"

Needless to say, for the following 4-5 years I'd find a pastrami on white w/mayo on my desk on my birthday...

Oh sure, the closest store to me is Lancaster NY. A 9 hour ride. Without traffic !!.
