Earlier in the week we had members of the North Brookhaven Sport Fisherman Club out for some skinny water fluking. To say it’s been a grind so far this season is an understatement, but these anglers fished hard all day and we had better life than what we have been seeing. They were rewarded some real Quality flatfish 21.5 inches and up. The Biggest of day was by “Nick #2” subduing a beautiful summer flounder on an ultra light setup. It weighed 6 lbs on the dot on the Boga grip. Some real quality just short fluke came in spurts to keep the rods bending throughout the day in different locations. Very encouraging to see some fish being more active . It will only get better as the water temps go up and the weather gets nicer!
