Weird, now this is in my feed thumbnails.

This has to have been a record breaking price. I don’t care if I had all the money in the world, I’m not paying that kind of money.

Today was a maximum random classic car day.

Many times on my way home from work I've seen this grey ghost and always think "I shoulda took a picture." Well, today there was a bonus vehicle and I had nothing better to do, so I went around the block and set up to stop and grab a photo.

While I'm waiting for traffic to pass, this gem rolls by, and conveniently, I'm sitting there with a camera:

After traffic cleared I picked a decent position and grabbed the twofer pic:

Then I was surprised when I caught up with the Corvette again.

After riding behind it for a while I was less surprised that I caught up to it. The folks driving it were out for a casual stroll, and I suspect they were the original owner's grandparents.

Still a great day for car peeping..

Speaking of junk, I'm getting ready to put the refurbished wheels and new tires on the pickup, so I decided to clean up the hubcaps. Because the wheels and tires by themselves won't make the rest of the truck look $#itty enough.

My before (L) and after (R):

Yes, polishing the back of hubcaps is a little nutz, but I'm going to be hosing them down with Boeshield and I didn't think protecting dirt was the best approach.

Boeshield, because if it can protect aluminum airplanes, it should do okay on aluminum hubcaps too.
