Pretty much the only thing biting in the sound right now is porgies. You can drift for them using a small hook with clams or worms.
You could try drifting for fluke but that has been hit or miss, mostly miss. You may get a few fluke but most dont make the 19 in minimum size.

The above is correct. Dish soap has surfactants in it. They will strip the wax off the car or boar.
Once and a while you can get away with dish soap but don't use it all the time.
Fall is best for stripers and blues. The last few falls have been a challenge to say the least.
Fluke is usually good early-except this year. It never really got going at all.

Some of the site is still being developed. There is a wash down station that is not operational yet.
They need to build a ramp in Orient State Park. Orient by the Sea has closed the ramp so there is no ramp nearby to launch a boat.
NY State owns the park, so it should not be all that difficult to build a boat ramp on their own property.
