I hit it harder than usual this year and it was definitely off. I fluked pre-season from shore alot and did very well in the skinny stuff b4 being disappointed in the deep. Fryday flukin', literally. Never have I seen so many juvenile fluke, we had 'em on the inside today from 4" to 28" . Multiple double headers, must've landed 150 fish to get 4 keepers. Bodes well for our future- hartattack

The season in Jersey doesn't open until 22-May, but I've been doing well at many back bay spots, keeping socially distant of course ! FYI - - If you are going to use a lefty reel make sure the transition guides are on the right. If you are going to use a levelwind, then it doesnt matter. Fluke Jigs- "Hook Refinements?"
Lep - - do you use a teaser above the jig ? At the advice of Buddha, I've (mostly) eliminated it and find my hook-up ratio has improved. Without the teaser you are forced to really work the jig, not just drag the jig and work the teaser. Less is more (thanks Roger!).- hartattack

Daiwa Catalina TW 100P - A really good Dealeo on a top-shelf baitcasting reel, - but you gotta move FAST!
