My latest sled, 28’ Albin 28’ TE. She just underwent some rather over the top maintenance work, and now she undergoing new electronics installation. That will change her profile slightly with new Garmin radar, and Sionyx Night Vision. A couple of other changes to her profile that are in her future would be a raft, riggers, and different configuration for multiple additional rod holders in rocket launchers, as well as gunnel mounted.

I can remember when the word boat meant B.O.A.T………… break out another $1,000. Today it’s…………. Break out another $10,000

Thank you. Beautiful boat you have. That was my first choice, a white hull flush deck but couldn’t find a nice one. They seem to be very far and few in-between.

Hard to find for several good reasons. Unless I win Lotto, I will never part with this hull.
I have no doubt you will love the Albin's performance as you have a chance to start running her consistently.

When you do not have the cash to brak out another $10,000 , you go smaller and cheaper.

Motor work completed, updated electronics completed, and lettering completed. Going in next week for medium blast of the bottom, & barrier coat. That should be it until the Spring.

Thanks George, I’ll be heading down to Sunny Florida for the season in about a month. This boat however won’t be coming along. Last year I think I used the 31’ Steiger about 6-7 times in 6 months. The wind in the Gulf is relentless in the winter. Couple that with the cost of bringing her back and forth, plus another $800 a month for a marina, and it’s just not worth it. The 6 months I’m in NY she will get a lot more use.

Let’s try and get together down south this winter.

With a month to go before your southern migration, I assume you will make at least one Tog trip. After all, you need to enjoy the fruits of all that labor!

Hopefully will get a trip or two in this year. Between bringing her back to Al Grover ‘s for the barrier coating, and heading down to fish the Dry Tortuga’s for several days the time will be flying by.
