I do know you can trailer the boat legally south of Sunrise exit on the Meadowbrook parkway over the loop parkway to get back and fourth to Lido Beach. You can also trailer the boat South of Sunrise Highway on the Robert Moses parkway to the Captree. Same with Heckscher State Parkway you can...
Went out yesterday 9/30/21 for the last day of Fluke, started off at the choloria and worked the local reefs back in. Fishing was good early and died off by noon time. No keeper fluke caught but lots of small guys. Did catch a few keeper sea bass and keeper porgies. Large whales in 40 to 50...
Thanks for the report, blues were all over the place on the point lookout side over the weekend along with the dolphins. I stayed in the inlet due to the swells.
After catching a shad last weekend as I by catch I realized I was unable to tell the difference in the different types of Shad. (American shad you are not allowed to possess). One of our cell phone carriers was able to get an internet connection (not Verizon LOL) and I found this link which...
Nice story, I wonder if it won the pool for the largest catch

Tried for Tuna today, we went south east of the Rockaway reef. The water was very dirty. Did hook up with a few sharks but no tuna. Went to the Cholera for a few keeper sea bass. went out at 7:00 a.m. back at the dock by 2:30 p,m, Perfect conditions except for the heat.
Went out at 7:30 p.m. to the local reefs. Forecast called for 2 foot waves well they were wrong LOL. Moved around to 3 different reefs and all were dead. A few throwbacks and no keepers. After getting beat-up we decided to head to the bays for the last of the incoming tide. Found more and...
Scientists at Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS) have developed an app that can answer any question about the condition of the waters in and around Long Island. The Long Island Beach and Water Quality App (LIBAWQA), is described as the world’s first ever...
With boat problems yesterday, we took the smaller boat today "Tipsy Tuna" a 26' walk around. Left the dock at 9:00 am. Lets say the forecast was wrong. We ended up going to the Hempstead reef, we only stayed an hour as it wasn't fun with the waves, we caught a few shorts, Headed inshore and...
went out of Jones Inlet at low tide around 7:00 am with calm conditions. Stayed local as the boat synchronizer was acting up so the boat wouldn't go more the 2800 rpm's. Many boats were lined up right outside the inlet along the beach presumably shark fishing in the bunker pods. We stayed...
Sorry for the late report. Fished outside JI at a reef. With the weather being ideal, most of the closer reefs were backed by 8:00 a.m. Went a little further then I usually do and found a reef with only 30 boats on it LOL. Glad the gas tank was full. Fished 80 to 100 feet of water. I saw...
The only reasons to consider documenting a vessel is if your traveling to foreign countries as it is easier for clearance with foreign authorities, Security purposes if your vessel is ever stolen and bought across state lines, it is easier to finance a boat and it is a lifetime documentation...
Went out Sunday morning fished several of the reefs spent most of the time at the transition zone with all the other party boats. Fished 4 hours we probably had over 50 sea bass in total and 2 keepers. Headed in when the wind started to pick up.
It's a $hitty situation for sure. I know things got better when the breach opened after Sandy and all this rain we have had recently isn't helping. I'm no biologist but if you opened up the breach and get moving water in and out of the bay it's got to help...
