Billions of Bunker, Stripers not so much
The title of this post was true last week, this week it's the opposite. Bunker schools were deep this week, couldnt see 'em on surface, had to find 'em on the scope. But once u found 'em, Stripers were on every pod. Several overs released and the keepers were all 37-38". Hope they stick...- hartattack

Fluke season here in NJ ends on Tuesday. My buddy found a window for us to get out on Wed.. our logs from last few seasons pointed us off shore to The Farms, a known staging area. Does anyone else think this Tackle World Black Widow Slow Pitch would be a great fluke rod?
The store in Rochelle Park is now Tackle World, their equipment is Jigging World. I fish with owner Yong and it's amazing how his business has grown. Second day for Nantucket Fluking was a wet one but a good one. Limits for most and again more Sea Bass than I've ever seen on the shoals. My buddy got the big one today, 9 lbs. Nantucket report, 8/10... good quality but quantity was lacking. Pool fish went 7.6 lbs and most Fluke were 23 or so inches, no shorts on boat. Several seabass up to my 23"er. Tomorrow's cod/Haddock trip is now Fluke day #2 because the Haddock have not shown up yet on Georges Bank. Check out...- hartattack

Who knows? When a Fluke throws your hook, is it due to a short bite or wrong leverage on their head shakes? The swing hook should be able cushion those head shakes, especially on those biguns....- hartattack

New Fluke Rig, i call it the Fluke Attack
I've been successfully using it as my teaser for several weeks now. Works well with Lep's B/S rig using sinker on bottom, rather than the jig. This way the snags over the ruff stuff are minimized. Bringing some with me next week to NanFlukeit, Massachusetts.- hartattack
