Does anyone else think this Tackle World Black Widow Slow Pitch would be a great fluke rod?

Kind of a Big Deal - In My Mind Anyway

Watch this EliasV video and check out the TW Black Widow 120C that Elias is using. What a nice bendo in that stick! Though its a might long for my taste (and needs) at 7', there's no denying that its a real nice stick. He begins using it at the 4:00 mark, with a big-ass Okuma mounted to it. Take a look:

I've owned two Tackle World rods (it was Jigging World when I purchased them), one was a Silver Bullet 200g and the other is a Ghost Hunter Slow Pitch 150C. Notice the "was" and "is?" While its true that the Silver Bullet is no longer among the living - which might well have been my fault, my Ghost Hunter is without a doubt my favorite lighter deep jigging rod, within the 1-4oz lure class. I put it as an equal to my DNY Impact H - without the grief I might have to endure should the irreplaceable Impact meet a fate that puts it in Rod Heaven, alongside my old Silver Bullet.

The Black Widow looks to be very similar to my Ghost Hunter, except its 7' long instead of 6'5" - are you reading this Big Joe? Right up your alley! I think a custom rod, made from a butt-cut Black Widow blank might actually work out better than my Ghost Hunter for the fishing I do. Looks to be a nice piece, for sure.

The store in Rochelle Park is now Tackle World, their equipment is Jigging World. I fish with owner Yong and it's amazing how his business has grown. The Nantucket trip I just took was Jigging World charter on the Helen-H and the variety of equipment on the trip was staggering. If you have any questions I can ask the right guys.....
