Had a little clogged filter issue with my engine, got it cleared up and took her for a test run and hit some schoolies this afternoon. Casting plugs did the trick!
I wound up going with Chris Squeri of Atlantic Yacht Haven in Freeport. Nice and close to home! He has the boat now for about a week. I will update you guys when the project is finished! Thanks for asking!
Ive contacted Raybo and im waiting for a window whn he has time to do the project. Im worried that the boat wont be ready by spring thats why id like other options thanks for your replies!
Im located in Oceanside. Ive done a tank removal and replacement years ago on a Grady White and I vowed never to do it again! lol My tank is below deck, but the CC and leaning post has to be removed an then the floor above the 110gal tank. Its a nightmare and getting someone to do it is...
I have the Garmin ECHOMAP Plus 64cv, I cant express how much I like this unit. It does everything you would need from bay fishing to ocean. Im pretty sure they come in different sizes so there should be one to fit your Whaler. Good luck!
Got out on Tuesday and had a ton of stripers on the troll. Umbrella rigs were once again the hot choice. First time in my life i had a dog fish on an umbrella. They are everywhere! Tried jigging and it was all dogs and sea robins. Ended up with 2 slots and about 25 shorts. No overs this trip...
Sorry haven’t posted in awhile, i been out on this great fall run! The Bass have been chasing and feeding on sand eels. So using tubes has been the hot choice! East and west of Jones. If u get away from the fleet I find you got a better shot and some bigger slot fish. Good luck and catch em up!
Chugged outta Jones inlet this morning in a raw misty rain lookin for stripers. Tons of birds when i broke the inlet, but it was tons of bunker. So i set up to troll spoons and mojos. Had a really good bight on white Tony Maja spoons. Nothing on the mojos today.
Had a real nice Sunday morning bass bight in the back bays. Fished top of tide and first hour of ebb. Got one keeper sized fish, released everything to swim another day. All fish on topwater casting plugs and shads.
It was a tough blackfish opening day with crappy wind and sea conditions, but still managed to get out. Alotta shorts to pick thru but managed nice fish on the joe baggs tog jigs tipped with green crabs. Stopped in bay on way home for a few more!
Went out this morning in the chilly rain to try my luck with the stripers. Wound up with some nice fish on casting mojo’s and plugs in the back bays. Also there was some nice sized bluefish roaming up and down Reynolds Channel. Fishing in the rain and raw conditions is the best, no boat traffic...
