Do we REALLY need a small spinning reel with huge factory drag ratings?
AMEN to that, especially inshore. I use 30 lb braid on my spinning reels, why?? Because my aging fat fingers can't handle any line thinner that what 8 lb Stren is, ergo the 30 lb braid. Do I set my drag anywhere near to 30 lbs? Hell no, it's by feel at there point where my hooks don't...- Roccus7

They are done in the late fall seining multiple times in multiple locations of the nursery, looking for the fish from that spring's spawn. The numbers reported are the average of all these data. For the 3rd year in a row, the Hudson River YOY abundance was below the 25th which tripped the ASMFC Amendment 7 Low Recruitment trigger!!
