    I haven`t personally seen them,but I heard from reliable sources of exotic species seen in the western sound.I`m talking dolphins,sea turtles,whales and mola mola.Someone at my marina in City Island said he saw a small sea turtle at the dock.This is great but I wish there were some keeper fluke...

    Benny,you talking about Milti on the North Star. That old crab used to argue with everyone on board. I was aboard one day with a small crowd. He put out a clothes line with a dozen hooks attached on both ends with rods,and caught fish.

    Looking for a reel replacement for my old Calcutta 50...

    Benny,Did you lose the calcutta 50 or is it not performing like it used to? I have one and decided to start using it again .I dolled it up and put boca bearings in it. We`ll see how it performs this year. You can also look at the curado 50 from Shimano.

    The keeper ratio has been pitiful this year in the western sound.Some days it`s hard to get anything near keeper size I do believe all these %$##$%^^ keeping shorts are out of control.     I had to get out on this beautiful day. I had a plan to blackfish first and then give flounders a shot. I hit a local wreck with clams and green crabs and had immediate action on both baits .
