Well I decided to give flounder fishing a shot.I had a good slow drift in the Rodmans neck area of Pelham Bay .Stayed for 3.5 hours without a tap.Surface water temp was 50degrees. I think the tide wasn`t in my favor-top of the high.I`ll try again in a week.

I hope you`re right about the small blacks,Benny.I have my doubts because many poachers at my marina have been keeping blacks as small as 12" for the market.And I`m not talking a few fish. These pedofiles are getting upwards of 50 lbs.a trip. Disgusting.
I was out for a while yesterday fishing for porgies at Hart Island in the western sound when I saw bones in the water. Not human bones but bonito. They were feeding on spearing and jumping out of the water. Roughly 18'

Before checking the bearings remove the spool and see if the noise is present.then proceed ,The reel doesn`t look like it`s spinning freely. WD 40 to clean,followed by penn lube and oil on the bearings.
