Just another Wednesday at work, took a few minutes to go outside in the early afternoon to enjoy the beautiful warm weather and stare at the barely moving treetops. The owner of the company catches me outside and says “Wow, what a great day, we should go fishing!”
Ok boss, you say the word we...
Broke the inlet by 8am with daughter Ally, JJ and their friend Paige who has never been toggin. Resisting the urge to try my inclose LI side spot knowing the west winds were going to turn hard NW, I motored to the Sheffield Area in CT.
Crabs went down, and togs came up. Took Paige a while to get...
Got out Sunday AM with my daughter Ally, Fish4Me, and buddy Billy. Dropped in at 7:30 and cruised the flat LIS to the Sheffield area. Set the spot lock on a 15 ft hang.
Green crabs were instantly hammered every drop down. I was able to use a 1oz jig as the incoming was just starting. Within...
Got out later Friday afternoon for opening day Tog on my neighbors ride. Hit a spot on the LI side @ 30ft and managed 3 keepers in 2 hours of fishing along with a few porgies and small sea bass. Keepers were 16, 17 and 18 inches.
Sunday got out early and motored across to the Ct side. Set the...
I don't think I'm going out of a limb stating that all the Sonar followed by the piledriving has been a positive thing for the marine mammal population. It was every week with another whale washing up on the beaches up and down the east coast, usually following the sonar ships that were mapping...
Not to jump on your report, but I did have a very odd high tide, although it was Saturday.
Chunking for bass in the AM, with the spot lock trolling motor keeping us in position. Incoming tide in the vicinity of the Stacks. Boat is facing bow east with the incoming water pushing hard and zero...
Congrats George!
I too was rudely greeted out of the Stacks with that hard NE wind. We did manage a way oversized bass on the chunk at slack @8am.
Tried for Fluke in front of the powerplant until @10am with none of your luck.
My inside sources who have some connections to the team say Fox is in need of knee surgery, Lindgren has 2 broken ribs, and Panarin has a fractured wrist.
Completely manhandled and out played the last two periods of a do or die game. Florida gave us zero time and space and quite frankly NY did not fight for it either. Unreal how soft this team became, meanwhile FL imposed their will on every play, every loose puck. Tip my cap to them, the better...
Besides our ENTIRE team showing up, could we please stop with the constant icings!.
Skate the puck out of our zone now and again. They either tend to quickly ice it, or make a bad pass and the puck stays in, or is quickly back in. Florida has so much momentum during the game because of this...
Well WhatKnot got let off the hook.
Halfway through the game and I'm already not looking forward to Game 7. The Panarin line is cycling and got one but I said what the hell happened to CK line, they are invisible as we heading to the 2nd intermission.
Finally they started to control play, and...
Still allowing Carolina to dictate play.
I don't understand trying to protect a 1 goal lead with half the game left. Reminds me of Torts old saying..."safe is death"
Not saying that Igor had a bad game as he has been stellar, but that bad look of three quick goals has reared it's ugly head...
Same story.
Igor holds them off, #37 was a wrecking ball, they hit everything and extend plays in O zone but their PP can't deliver, our special teams tilts the ice and ties it up and was a post away from taking the lead twice on same PK.
In between 2nd and 3rd, I was thinking how Panarin was...
No doubt we stole that game. Just watching it from a hockey fans point of view, the Canes were the better team. More shots, bigger hits, controlled play, the shorthanded chances late in regulation. I was already preparing myself for the let down of OK, we are going to NC tied after losing in...
They do not break down the ice. The ice is there all season long. The basketball court and flooring for concerts goes on top of the ice similar to a jigsaw puzzle.
This kid has MSG chanting his name the moment he gets on the ice. He is trying to play the right way, even though every tough guy wants to drop the gloves with him.
Then he scores the first goal of the game....a legit goal scorers goal finishing off an in close feed and the Garden goes wild...
