    NYR has a reputation of making rookie or young goalies look like the second coming of Hasek. Pens are a desperate team and they played like it for the win. NYR played the fancy east west game, giving up prime scoring chances for the extra pass that usually wasn't there.

    I only saw the 3rd period last night, but I did like the way we shut down Boston. Marchand and Pasta were non existent , meanwhile Krieder had a lot more jump than his past few games.

    Decent showing in the loss. Having 2 top defensive D men out doesn't help. Jets goalie was very good, always in position. #20 looked lazy on the go ahead goal...he has been unremarkable the past handful of games. Tough stretch of top teams these next few games.

    Igor with back to back shutouts, and Carolina is a very good team. Played on their heals for most of the last two periods, but they didn't break, even with the unending icing calls late. Definite playoff atmosphere. Day off today, game thursday, off friday, then back to back this weekend. LGR

    WOW!!!!! I was invited on a 42 Freeman a few years back on a Gulf trip out of Galveston. Like you, it was lock and load after the hour long run in 2-4's, but the big Cat still made a comfortable 30 kts on the way out. Big Red Snappers on every drop!
