Had to scratch that itch one more time with saturdays forecasted weather.

Got out with my buddy Tom @ 10:30 AM. Found the Sound a little disturbed with NW 10-15 and small whitecaps on our side...not bad, but not what I was expecting.

Went to my go to spot at 35 ft and gave it a half hour with barely a scratchy nibble and water temp showing 48 degrees. Headed further north, settling on a rocky spot @ 11B in 60'.
Instant life with lots of taps, but no real thumps. We managed about 20 shorts as we bounced around using the trolling motor to try and find a keeper. Closest we got was 14.5 inches, as the wind totally dropped out and the water became glass.

We gave the 35' spot a shot again. We found some life, but still shorts. Finished up our season at a wreck in 50 feet. Lost some tackle, caught a few shorts, and broke off something decent, but the sun was setting, and it was time to close out the season.

Had a great season, with the boat/motors performing well with no surprises. Final count was 27 different friends/family joining me on this years fishing trips. Time for some pre winter maintenance and a good cleaning before the shrink wrap and winter hibernation.
