That's true but we must admit, if we're being honest, this team has overachieved this season. They've accomplished much more than we had anticipated and we should be thankful for that considering the level of actual hockey talent on the present roster.
This season's team is a CLEAR indication...
Hey Rich, I think that direction you are going with CTS on that "specially designed" tog jigging stick is the right way to go. Definitely a noticeable improvement over the original version when it comes to jigging tog.
In my personal opinion, I'd suggest making it slightly more "sturdy" for...
flounderbound said: My favorite fluke set up is my Black Hole Tai rod(slow pitch) with a Shimano curado 50.
You mentioned the Shimano Curado 50 as the reel that is half of your favorite fluke combo. I'm pretty sure I failed to name that reel specifically when I spoke earlier in this thread...
Striper Sniper: Give the Daiwa Proteus rods a look. I've had (3) different versions and used them for jigging 4-5 ounces for fluke, 3-4 ounces for tog and I even had a few bass to 20 lbs. with them. They might be what you are looking for.
I heard CR recently has garnered a reputation for being a drug trafficking "hub" in the last few years. No idea how true that is but I don't like the sound of it.
Pete, I've been "privvy" to Gebby's pics as he's documenting his life on FB like every good teenager does...But I saw a ton of stuff from Colorado too and thought that was where he hightailed it to...
I have a good buddy who goes down to CR about 5-10 times a year to fish. No doubt in my mind...

With my new weapons I can venture out to deeper water (to...
My friend Howie tags fluke for the Littoral Society. Has been for many years. He keeps NO FLUKE regardless of size. He's a master at jigging them too. Uncanny, truth be told. Never seen anything like it. He has two passions. Catching, filming and releasing fluke. The other is tagging...
captmike28 said: I don't know, Eddie. With your tackle obsession, is it possible for you to ever have "exactly" the right rod in your hands? If so, you will be disappointing a lot of reel manufacturers and rod builders!!:D
Mike, I didn't wanna have to think about that too seriously, but you...
I threw it on my two lightest tog sticks (both CTS BS702's - built with different components) by Capt. Richie just to get an idea of what the combos weighed. Both rods with the BEAST on it weighed LESS than 1 lb.!
Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to putting this tiny little reel to...
