Went a few weeks ago with Big Joe (aka Flukinit) to see them play the Kings. We parked in the Marriott parking lot and saved $5. It's also closer than the outer-reaches of the parking lot. Couldn't see myself spending $25 to park 40 times a year. I could find a MUCH better use for that $1,000!

KAMINSKI AGAIN??!! Mark, you've reached your post limit for the next 2 years! Let me fine tune your comment: "Did Eddie just say he would venture beyond the green side of Ambrose??? Jersey reef?? Eddie, you feeling ok? "Fishing the green side of Ambrose BEFORE November is unheard of!!" Now...

I've been saying that for a few years now. Ever since they dropped that new bottom to our south, we haven't seen the fluke in the numbers we're used to. My guess is we'll have to trek SOUTH of those areas to catch our fluke. Maybe even the Jersey Reef

    Tog Sh!t - A "SERIOUS" Discussion

buddha162, I looked last week on eBay and saw an excellent price of $213.00 + $12.00 for shipping. Then as I read further it said "some" of the reels were refurbished and some were new...That scared me off. Once I get something in my head, I start to obsess. So, I had the day off this past...

That $25 parking fee is completely unreasonable. Glad I'm not a season ticket holder. Imagine 40 games there a year at $25 a pop?

10% of the Bottom Catches 90% of the Big Fluke!

The one thing we need to do more of on the Theresa V is fine-tune our efforts in the home base of Jamaica Bay. Year after year, big fish are caught right in our backyard (especially in the early part of the fluke season) and we haven't cashed in enough. We know where "the good" bottom is, we...

WOW Joe, didn't know you were an Isles fan  1st off, I'd like to say that I had been calling for the firing of Garth Snow for 10 years. He was a useless POS. His coaching decisions in his tenure were abysmal. Fake coach after fake coach, never a respected quality NHL hockey guy hired...

    Tog Sh!t - A "SERIOUS" Discussion

Today I made calls to a few local (tri-state area) tackle shops looking for my newest reel of interest to target tautog. The Abu Garcia Gen4 Revo Beast 40. One was closed, one doesn't carry Abu Garica, one was sold out of the reel. One shop thought I'd be better off with a different reel...

    Rubber landing nets

Ahhh, nets...That's a great topic. I say that because many boats I fish on have crappy nets...Sorry, just being honest. Very important piece of equipment, especially for fluke (my humble opinion). Those flatties can get awfully tricky at the net. They back up, they dive, they see the net...
