George the recs are way better represented when fishery was closed it was 50 50 rec commercial now it is 90 10 for recs.The sad part is the asmfc spoiled you babies who couldnt catch fish in 80s and now it is the easiest fish to catch and they cant take the binky away from you- hawk375

That is exactly right the only problem is many other areas have nothing else to fish for but bass.This is because the asmfc has been a failure since it began. This is a joke, ASMFC has no idea what they are doing.According to ASMFC bluefish are rebuilding,,and striped bass are overfished?Anyone that has fished this the south shore this fall knows this is junk science.- hawk375

its very simple rules are made so recs season stays open longer .all rules are mad for recs to catch and release thats the problem with the way are fish are managed catch and release leads to wasting the fish- hawk375

the regulators are clueless if striped bass was an emergency what are flounder weakfish bluefish if you catch fish because they become available you get areduction this is what happens when the regulators sit at a desk and are arrogant enough to think they know how many fish are in the ocean- hawk375
