A friend told me that the limit of fluke they caught this week were feeding on Whiting. Somewhere east of Orient.

Did a quick trip today to catch the right part of the tide. Landed 3 bass and 1 bluefish in just under 30 minutes. Only one was a slot, and the other 2 were over. I couldn’t stay long, so I quit while I was ahead. The wife didn’t even know I was out. 😁

Fished the race yesterday. Had a fair share of slot bass along with a few gorillas. Definitely my largest blue.

I used to buy the bags, now I only buy the containers as you get more for your money. They have them on sale as well. Buy 2 get 1 free.

Made a trip to Montauk last night and the new moon didn’t disappoint. Large blues on jigs and once the lights went out, the pigs showed up. Some excellent fishing with fish into the mid 40’s.

I was there yesterday and saw those guys on the jet ski. Not too smart when the water temp is 54*. Those life jackets won’t save your life if you go in the water. They are only to help them find you after you succumb to the cold water.

And I’ll just throw this out there since it may very well have had an influence in the design of the boat ramp. The town of Southold has a lot coverage ordinance of 20%. So not more than 20% of a lot can have a structure or be paved. I know this is for residential, and it very well may pertain...

I heard about that but I leave my boat in the water all year. When it comes time to haul it, I run the fuel on the way back to the ramp. I just disconnect my fuel line from the filter and stick it right into the gallon can that it comes in. I usually burn about a 1/2 gallon out of it. Once it’s...
