Once the tide turned, out came the eels, and we had hookups on almost each drift, with fish pushing 40#

Diamond jigging is a fun way to catch bass, especially when they're mostly overs. Hugh Chancy put us on the fish to 30+ pounds, including a slot limit and too many thrown back to keep track of. Unfortunately, the most exciting catch of the day turned out to be a 20# bass foul hooked right behind...

It's been a nice start to the season in the extreme west pursuing the rare and endangered striped bass. I've managed a few bass every trip, but have yet to land the elusive lottery fish in the magical 28-31 slot. Yesterday was my first time chunking this year. I must have had 6-7 short runs...

My guess is that you've had it, but you are one of the lucky ones whose symptoms were not serious enough to test yourself.
