Boat on it's way to the boat yard for winterization today.
Here's my 2020/2019 Year Striper Summary.
Not much change in the number of Striper Sorties, 111 in 2020 as opposed to 108 in 2019. There was a significant difference in number of fish caught as I was down 27% this year, 573 vs. 789 in 2019. I know the average size this year was better, but not in the mood to crunch the numbers to figure that one out.
HIGHLIGTS:

HIGHLIGTS:
- I did catch 2, 22" fish with Hudson River Foundation Tags, the second year in the row I've caught 2 tagged fish, although the only time all fish were HRF-tagged fish...
- Tougher fishing means better learning. I finally fished the ocean ledges, something I've been meaning to do for years. Real spinchter clinching fun, putting your boat within 50 ft of shear rock ledges. However worth the angst if the fish are sitting there. Fun fishing dropping a rubber lure into a wave running up onto a ledge and holding on tight when the retreating wave drops it into a waiting bass' mouth.
