Ditto. His info and perspective are always spot on and informative. The fact that his own personal numbers had such a drop this past season was an eye opener. Fish not making it to the northern waters could be a sign that population density has deceased.

I don't think anyone disputes the poor track record ASMFC has when it comes to fisheries management across the board. I recall an old bumper sticker from around 20 years ago that read something like
"ASMFC: Destroying Fisherman and their Families for Years".

I also have to vouch for the data, observations, and opinions that Roccus supplies. You may not know this, but he lived and fished for Striped Bass in LI waters for many more years than he has been in Maine. He does have a broad perspective.

Anyone who has fished for 40 years should know that the ASMFC has failed miserably. At the sea bass meeting we are being forced to have a total catch and release fishery because of the large size limit no matter what hard working people tell them they push forward with there illegal waste of the peoples fish which violates there founding authority given to them by congress
