Unfortunately I was fishing today 8/2
Had perfect SW with the ebb tide for the area right outside my marina, got a later start than I wanted but still had a line in the water by 9am when the tide was starting to move
Instant action with a steady pick of shorts too small to measure. Finally get a nice hit and throw a nice fat just over 19” fish on the deck and the quick euphoria ended when I realized today is 8/2. After a minute of contemplating civil disobedience I sent it back and watched it swim away
More shorts came up but as it got closer to the bottom of the tide the bigger fish started to show up and I got 1 just over 21” snd another between 22” and 23” so I felt good about creating good karma by abiding to the rules whether I like them or not
In my mind I got a limit so what the heck, it was a good day
Best part is I was literally fishing right outside my marina and burnt hardly any fuel
