Stole away from our "rent-a-dog" after SWMBO and I gave him a bath. (He is starting his 15th day "on vacation" with us, lol.) Caught about 90 minutes of the outgoing on the town ocean beach. Waves from that offshore storm were crashing on the outer bar and retaining enough to crash again 40 yards out. Threw a yellow mag darter, a Tsunami rubber shad and a 1 1/2 ounce dressed Kastmaster which caught a beautiful (but unfortunately only 26 1/2 to 27") striper that had the perfect shape of a full grown adult, not the longer but skinnier striper I got a week or two ago. Nice fight, quick release. Three weeks from now he will be someone's dinner, or for the bucket brigade tomorrow night. A little bit of sea lettuce out there today, and a fairly strong east to west sweep, but a north wind made conditions fishable (think the water is still over 60) but obviously not very productive. Probably won't be back until the weekend if then as I will be pursuing Bambi's grandparents a bit.
