I read it would cost $45 Billion to build a Cross Sound Bridge. Instead of building that, why don't they make the LIE and The Cross Bronx 2 level roads and build a New 8 lane George Washington Bridge and Throgs Neck Bridge with 2 levels ?? Would probably cost less than $45 Billion. The Mario Cuomo Bridge cost $5 Billion. Every truck /car coming from up North and from down South has to go thru the Bronx to continue on I95. The NYC Bridges are bottlenecks always being repaired , seems like they're always working on the GWB and Throgs Neck. Have Car Pool Lanes all the way thru NYC to Upstate. 2 Level LIE all the way out to Suffolk. You should be able to drive thru NYC with hardly any delay.
