And even though many in Maine are whining that the Stripeah Season is already over, I've yet to hear that final aria, so it's far from done in 'da hood! Today's AM trip marked the 71st consecutive trip without a skunking, and the 4 day in a row streak of a 28+" fish being caught continued. Since the freezer inventory is good this fish, like 2 of the previous 3, was put back into the water to fight another day.

Besides a beautiful sunrise, I was "supervised" by a pair of eagles. Had to make sure that fish was ready to swim to the bottom when I released her, lest one of these suckers would have swooped down to grab her...

Beautiful looking fish! You are having a good season. When do they "leave"? I am actually starting to ramp up for the upcoming months. Sorting plug bags, changing hooks, fixing leaders, etc. Probably going to spend more time in the BIL boat this fall. I found additional spots further up in the bay where bait will be funneled out on dropping tides.

I always considered that every fish caught in October is a gift from Poseidon. The latest I've ever caught one is October 7...
