Hit the last of the incoming. 45 minutes with no action, nothing to see. some swells for the surfers, no weed and despite the damn west wind that arrived just as I did this afternoon, very little sweep. I really should have brought my ten and not the 9' Lami again though. All of a sudden the gulls were going cray in the whitewater. Joined a young guy as we fast walked to the fray. Got another wind knot just after beaching a feisty cocktail. (Had started to defrost a weak this morning so the cocktail will provide a dinner another night.) 40 minutes later beached a schoolie, despite hoping it was another cocktail. Both spit up either a small sand eel or a skinny spearing. Didn't bother to examine it too closely. Don't you love it when the fish are just 30 yards out and you can see the patches of darker water !
