Bass fishing out of Jones Inlet

Went out Thursday 11/10 to troll for Stripers Southeast of the Inlet almost down to the needle and back. Massive schools of bunker swimming all over and a boat here and there live lining bunker. Didn't see any stripers being caught. The party boat Captree Pride sailed along the beach stopping here and there and nobody on board caught any bass My brother caught a few dogfish on jigs. Went out at the end of incoming and returned at dead low tide. Fished from 10 AM to 3PM.We marked a lot of bass on the bottom but they weren't biting. We tried jigging and we trolled MoJo's with no luck. Fished for 5 hours, nothing. Around 2PM we saw birds diving near the beach and a bunch of surfcasters on the beach and we found the bass right up on top of the beach breaking on the surface. Good action and then we went home.
