Went out Friday , 10/7, and the bay fishing was awful. Not even a sea robin ! Fished near the Meadowbrook Bridge on the East Side for late season Fluke. It was the middle of outgoing tide, steady wind from the SW. Used Halibut Belly that my brother gave me and spearing . Nothing ! , didn't see anybody catching .I tried Jones Inlet as well, caught nothing. Horrible drifting conditions, it was outgoing but felt like incoming the way your lines went the other way. The week before I had pretty good fluking there, the big storm pushed them out of the bay. Many boats were out yesterday, almost felt like the weekend. Was out from 9AM - 2PM.
